Mechanical Engineering


Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest, broadest and ever green engineering disciplines with a vast scope of employment globally.

The Department of Mechanical engineering at Shree Devi Institute of Technology is backed by well developed Laboratories such as CAED lab, CAMD lab with state of the art hardware and software for the students to enhance their creativity and talent. Dedicated faculty and well equipped and Laboratories / Workshops prepares students to a diversified areas design and analyze manufacturing plants, industrial equipment and machinery, heating and cooling systems, transport systems, aircraft, watercraft, robotics, medical devices and more by applying the core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and structural analysis.


Pre-University Board or any other examinations recognized by the University or equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 45%* aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.


*40% for students belonging to SC/ST and OBC categories.
